At this very minute, I am rejoicing at the quietness of life. The halls of CHS are devoid of anyone in their teens. Teachers are wrapping up grading and the semester has come to an end. We are all so very ready for a break. Not long from now, many of us will be heading to swanky Club Soda in downtown Fort Wayne to celebrate two weeks of much needed rest.
Tomorrow morning, we are off to Toronto! We are thrilled to be spending some time with Mom and Dad and Paul for the holidays. In lieu of gifts, we decided to spend time together, and we are really looking forward to it! Why Toronto? Totally cool city equidistant from Fort Wayne, Syracuse, and Bay City - great shopping - birthplace of MAC cosmetics - what more could we ask for?
Tomorrow night the five of us will attend the home concert of the Canadian Brass. Since all of the Opel children played brass instruments, and we have enjoyed listening to their Christmas music for years, we are particularly excited about this. More than anything, I can't wait to wear my pink sparkly shoes!
Since Beth and I are traveling during the holiday season, I thought I'd take the time before we leave to wish a very Merry Christmas to one and all! We are so blessed to have supportive family and friends, a warm and safe place to live, and ample paychecks to support our love of shopping. And of course, the reason our lives are so wonderful is because of the "season reason" - JESUS! Christ the Saviour is BORN!
(I know that the above picture by Beth is a repeat, but I just wanted to share that it appeared in the Fort Wayne News Sentinel this week!)
